Birthday Mystery Quilt - Block 27

This block reminds me of "x marks the spot!"  

I tried my best in making sure that the rosebuds, in the light blue fabric, were all upright.  Even with the striped fabric, I'd like to see if the block would look different if the pieces used more of the blue band or the lighter band.
